Heydays

Heydays is an Oslo-Based design studio that creates stung visual concepts that trigger curiosity, create excitement and show ambition. We listen, research and challenge. We remove noise to add value. Creating innovative and redundant design work, that uses a variety of media to deliver beautifully crafted work.

This helps on lower envi­ron­men­tal impact, improved per­for­mance and reduced costs due to lower energy con­sump­tion. We wanted to mir­ror their green phi­los­o­phy in the iden­tity with a strong sym­bol in a green land­scape, using few print col­ors and recy­cled paper stock."

What I like about them is there ability to push their branding products through the media they use. They utilise print finishes to deliver high quality textured work, and use the content and style of the company to drive their design. the use of simplistic type and layout only enhances their clean design work.

My new portfolio, i have taken on the aspects of design that i want to show my versatility as a designer and the pieces that i love, so that when faced by cross examination i can tackle the questions with the passion i feel about my work.

Website

I have re-designed my website, making it smoother to navigate, reorganised my files and the display. I wanted to try and create something that was really simplistic taking my inspiration from popcorn designs website and then the design inspiration.net. The simplicity and the elegance of both websites really lets the work speak for itself which is what i want to do. I have noticed that there are more things that i need relating to branding, so i need to tailor my briefs towards this.

Initial Business Cards

These are some initial concepts for my business card, i have created them using my logo design. The attempt her is to try and use the it as a one sided business card as opposed to double sided. this is only basic at the moment, i would like to try and use a wax seal in the future.

ISC

I had my interview with ISC today, it was really interesting because it was the first time i have had to talk about my work, and it's interesting to now see what i am lacking and what i need to do. It went really well, i think, and hopefully will lead to a placement. From the sounds of it i will be doing a variety of roles, which will be interesting to experience in the industry.
