Portfolio samples for ISC

Wednesday, 11 January 2012

Fold out portfolio, i wanted to try and create something that had a bit of personality to it so that it looks more interesting, and it a bit more tactile to play with and use. I really wanted to show that i pride myself in the little details, so by doing something that different.

These are the initial designs that i put together for the samples of work i wanted to show in my interview with ISC, my only problem with it is the fact it seems quite clinical, and doesn't really show me. So after a discussion with John i decided to do a fold out portfolio that i can give to the ISC people to take away with them.

Regents property solicitors

Wednesday, 4 January 2012

Today i recived an email from Gemma Sanders from Regents property solicitors, who wants me to possibly do a re-brand for them. My details were passed on from James Naylor who i did the logo for before christmas. I emailed back straight away, after speaking to Amber, about the best way to tackle this as they are unsure what they want and i can price the job up accordingly until they agree to it.

Stationary

Tuesday, 3 January 2012

I have put together a selection of stationary with my logo applied to it that would work with my brand as a whole. I find it really interesting, and i think that as a whole it works as a piece. I have already sent out the invoice after creating the logo for crabtree solicitors.

Logo design

I have re-designed my logo using my initials as the concept. I wanted to do something symmetrical that would represent me as a designer, so something that was clean simple and easy to read. I wanted to use Avant Garde, because this is the font that i love using, and it works throughout a lot of my projects.

I have done a range of different types of the same logo, inverse and solid so that i can use them across a range of different products. I also used one with the cloud, this was because it matches up with the template of my blog, and resonates throughout.

Invoice

Monday, 12 December 2011

I had to prepare my invoice today, its the first time i've ever had to do one as i had to charge my client for the logo design service that i had done. this was for Crabtree and i needed something that would be simple and versatile enough to use in the future.

I wanted it to be simple and easy to read, and clear so that the information could be easily read. It was quite exciting using this, its the first time i've had to charge, and i felt like a proper graphic designer!

I have finished putting together the flyers and menu that Kevin has asked for, and sent them through to see whether he likes them or not.
